Flamboro Speedway

On Saturday June 1st, 2019 Daniel Hawn and his #42 Electric Motor Coil Company Can-Am midget car return to Flamboro Speedway for event #3 of the 2019 Season. The #42 made its full-time series debut on May 11th in Flamboro but was excluded from heat and feature action with heavy mechanical issues. Those issues have since been resolved and Daniel Hawn looks to replace the bad memory.

Although the start of the season has been peppered with learning curves and unexpected technical issues, Daniel Hawn and the #42 team have stuck at it and have shown great improvement in just a few short weeks. Running as high as 5th in the first of two features at Spring Velocity the #42 has shown the speed necessary to compete much higher up the running order than initially expected. The confidence and comfort behind the wheel of this brand-new ride have greatly improved for Dan Hawn as well.

Running along side the Pro Late Models, Canadian Vintage Modified, Super Stocks and Pro4 Challenge the Can-Am Midgets will undoubtedly put on an exceptional show this weekend. The first Flamboro feature as well as the Spring Velocity features delivered side by side and even three wide racing right to the finish. With a different winner in each of the three features run so far this season, we anticipate a down to the wire points race.

CanAm Midgets Club 2019

Although the improvements have come in leaps and bounds for the #42 team, we are still aware of the growing pains and challenges involved in our new adventure. But thus far couldn’t be more pleased with the growth of our driver Dan Hawn and the performance of the #42 car. As the season progresses and the learning curve lays down, we will inch closer and closer to contention for a race win.

While the #42 team tackles Flamboro Speedway the other half of the Hawn Motorsports crew will be at Jukasa Motor Speedway just 45 mins away competing in the OSCAAR Hot Rod event. It isn’t very often that Tyler and Daniel aren’t present to Crew Chief and support one another while competing. This will mark the first of a few different times the Brothers will need to rely on new team members for support this season. A challenge both Tyler and Dan are prepared to face this coming weekend!

Get out to Flamboro Speedway this coming weekend and support Daniel Hawn and the #42 Can-Am midget car in their 3rd stop of the 2019 season!
We would like to thank all our 2019 Partners on the #42.
